Not Only Mugabe; Here are the top 7 longest Serving Presidents in Africa 2017

Take a look at the top 7 longest serving presidents in Africa. These are African nations where a 25 year old man or lady has just known one president in their lifetime. Africa is scandalous for pioneers who never need to hand over power.

They will successfully remain in office. They boycott races. They manage by tyranny. They scare, murder or correctional facility any genuine adversary. Furthermore, they confine their nations from the world.

They clampdown on free discourse and threaten any person with the idiotic idea of vote based system.

Some of these African pioneers introduce themselves as rulers forever. In outrageous conditions they appoint themselves as God’s picked rulers.

Gambia has recently seen the dismissal and commanding removal from office and from the nation of one such leader.

Following is, Bob Mugabe, who was placed under house arrest by the Zimbabwe National Army in a way they didn’t call it coup d’état. On 19 November, he was sacked as leader of ZANU-PF, and Emmerson Mnangagwa, the former Vice-President was appointed in his place. Following the start of impeachment proceedings against him, Mugabe resigned as President on 21 November.

Here is a list of top 7 longest serving Presidents in Africa:

7. Isaias Afwerki (Eritrea) – in power for 23 years

Longest serving presidents

The 71 year old leader of Eretria assumed power in May 1993 when the country attained independence. He stands accused of being very good at torturing those who disagree with him.

He was born on February 2, 1946 and is the first President of Eritrea, a position he has held since its independence in 1993. He led the Eritrean People’s Liberation Front (EPLF) to victory in May 1991, thus ending the 30-year-old Eritrean Armed Struggle for Independence that the Eritrean people refer to simply as “gedli (“struggle”). The EPLF adopted a new political party name, People’s Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), to reflect its new responsibilities. The PFDJ, with Isaias as its leader, remains the sole legal party of Eritrea today.
